Downtown Medellín has been the heart of the city's jewellery trade for decades. That is exactly why we do things differently: no generic counter pieces, only grillz built on a mould of your own teeth.
Downtown Medellín has breathed jewellery trade from Junín to Pasaje La Playa for generations, with storefronts that have sold gold by weight for decades. That history means many people working right there, in Junín shops or offices around Parque Berrío, already know the difference between a genuine piece and a generic mould, and come straight to us asking about 14K or 18K built on their own teeth.
We also get plenty of visitors doing the Plaza Botero and Museo de Antioquia circuit who discover grillz out of curiosity; for them it works best to arrange the mould at their hotel rather than hunting for downtown parking, which is some of the toughest in the city on weekdays.
The calmest window downtown is mid-morning on weekdays, after the rush of people arriving for work and before the shops get packed; by Saturday noon Pasaje Junín becomes nearly impassable, so we avoid that slot to keep appointments on time, especially if you only have a short window between meetings.
Landmarks in Centro / La Candelaria
Plaza Botero, Museo de Antioquia, Parque Berrío, the Junín pedestrian street and the Rafael Uribe Uribe Palace of Culture.
Getting to the studio
Parque Berrío and San Antonio stations (where Lines A and B meet) put you right downtown, as does the Ayacucho tram.
Visits to your home, hotel or Airbnb
Downtown we suggest coming to the studio or meeting at your hotel: traffic and parking make house calls slower. If you are staying in the centre, we will agree a calm meeting point.
