Sabaneta is Colombia's smallest municipality and one of the fastest-growing in the south of the valley. The fondas around its main square are a paisa party classic, and more and more young locals here start with a silver set.
Sabaneta is Colombia's smallest municipality, but its growth in recent years has made it one of the youngest hubs in the south of the valley. Around the Parque de Sabaneta the traditional fondas are still the classic meeting point, but a few blocks away new towers are full of twenty-somethings who work in Medellín and come home here for more affordable rent. That young profile explains why we increasingly see solid silver chosen as a first set in this area, before clients come back later for gold.
Almost every Sabaneta visit ends up being to a residential complex with a gatehouse, so the process is simple: we leave your name on arrival and take the mould in your apartment or a common area. Mayorca, right next to Sabaneta station on Line A, works as a clear reference point for any appointment, even if you live several blocks further out. If you are planning a weekend at the fondas and want to show off your new set, book the mould early in the week so the silver is ready in time, and keep in mind the square fills up early on Saturdays.
