How pricing works
At Grillz Medellín we price per tooth, not by a fixed "set" or closed package, so you know exactly what you are paying from the very first message — no hidden fees, no surprises when you pick up the piece. The final price depends on two simple variables: the metal you choose and whether the piece carries stones.
Impressions (or digital scan), design, casting and hand finishing are all included in the per-tooth price shown in the table. The only thing quoted separately is shipping, if you need your grillz delivered outside Medellín or abroad. You can see the full pricing logic on our prices page.
Per-tooth price table (COP)
Solid 925 silver: COP 250,000 (≈US$65) per tooth. Chrome / dental gold: COP 320,000 (≈US$80). 9K gold: COP 900,000 (≈US$225). 14K gold: COP 1,250,000 (≈US$315). 18K gold: COP 1,500,000 (≈US$375). These figures apply the same whether you order one front tooth or a full arch — the math is always per unit.
Iced silver with moissanite: from COP 500,000 (≈US$125) per tooth. Iced gold with moissanite: from COP 1,250,000 (≈US$315) per tooth. Lab-grown and natural diamonds have no fixed table because they depend on stone size and count; in those cases we always send a personal quote before any deposit is taken.
At the same karat, white, yellow and rose gold cost exactly the same — the difference is colour only, never price. Compare every metal and stone combination on prices, or try options live in the configurator. USD figures are approximate at around 4,000 COP per dollar.
Full set examples
Two silver fangs: COP 500,000 (≈US$125). A six-tooth top silver set: COP 1,500,000 (≈US$375). The same six-tooth top set in 14K gold: COP 7,500,000 (≈US$1,875). In 18K gold the same set runs COP 9,000,000, since each tooth costs COP 1,500,000.
An eight-tooth full top arch, iced in silver, starts from COP 4,000,000 (≈US$1,000) depending on the moissanite size you pick. For something more discreet, a single 18K cap adds a flash of shine without committing to a full set, for COP 1,500,000.

Why does gold cost so much more than silver?
Metal price drives everything else. A gold tooth carries several grams of high-purity alloy, and the international gold price has climbed sharply in recent years, which shows up directly in the cost of each piece. Silver, on the other hand, remains far more affordable and stable in price.
That is exactly why Grillz Medellín takes a deposit before casting begins: it covers the metal bought specifically for your piece, at the day's price. The balance is paid on delivery, once your grillz is fitted and checked in your mouth.
What moves the final price
Tooth count is the most obvious factor — two fangs cost less than a full arch simply because there are fewer pieces. Metal is the second factor, and stones the third: an iced tooth with one small moissanite costs less than one with several large stones.
Finish can also affect production time, though not always price: an open face (where the natural tooth shows through) versus separate individual pieces are style decisions you can explore in styles before you get a quote.
What you should not be paying for
Be wary of "gold" grillz sold at costume-jewellery prices — they are almost always plated brass or bronze that peels within weeks and can irritate your gums. Generic one-size grillz do not fit your mouth properly either, and poor fit is exactly what can damage teeth and gums over time.
You also should not overpay for a bundled "package" when you can build exactly what you want tooth by tooth. Questions about metal, delivery times or the full process? Check the FAQ or message us directly on WhatsApp or email.
Pricing wherever you are in Medellín
Per-tooth pricing is the same across the city and the whole Valle de Aburrá: we take the mould at our studio or travel to your home, hotel or Airbnb in areas like El Poblado, Laureles, Envigado or Sabaneta, with no extra charge for the visit within the metro area.
If you live outside Medellín or are visiting from abroad, the only added cost is insured, tracked shipping, quoted by destination. Curious how long the whole process takes? Read how long grillz take to make.
Silver or gold: which fits your budget
If this is your first grillz and you are not sure how often you will actually wear it, solid 925 silver is the most sensible entry point: at COP 250,000 per tooth, a six-tooth set runs COP 1,500,000, letting you try the style without a large commitment. Silver can also be re-polished any time you want to refresh the shine.
If you already know the grillz will be in regular rotation — nights out, content, events — 14K gold is usually the sweet spot: it looks more substantial than 9K, costs less than 18K, and holds its colour well under daily wear. 18K gold is for anyone chasing maximum shine who is fine paying the higher per-tooth price.
You can also mix metals: many clients pick 18K fangs as the statement piece and fill the rest of the set in silver or 14K to stretch the budget without losing visual impact. That combination is easy to put together in the configurator.
How the deposit and balance payment work
Payment happens in two steps. First, a deposit is charged right after you approve the design: that money buys the exact metal your piece needs, at that day's price, so the cost does not change even if gold rises while we are casting.
Second, the remaining balance is paid at handover, once you have tried the grillz in your mouth and confirmed the fit is right. We never hand over a piece before checking the fit, so you never pay the full amount for something that does not sit well.
If shipping is involved, insured courier cost is quoted separately and confirmed before dispatch — never a surprise charge at the end.
Grillz for a one-off event
For a wedding, a music video or a single party, some people assume renting is an option — but Grillz Medellín does not offer rentals: every piece is custom-fitted to your own mould and built to be worn many times, not just once. Even so, for a single occasion a silver set with modest icing is usually the best value: it gives you the shine of a statement piece without the cost of a large gold set.
If the event is only days away, check the production windows in our visitor timeline guide before locking in a date, so you don't pay a deposit for something that can't realistically be ready in time.
Booking your mould appointment
Once you know roughly what you want, booking is simple: message us on WhatsApp or email with your preferred dates, and we confirm whether the studio or an in-home visit works better for you. Deposits are only requested after the design is approved, so there is no commitment just to get a quote.
Areas like Robledo and Bello are visited just as often as more central neighbourhoods — distance within the metro area never changes the per-tooth price shown in prices.
How long your grillz lasts and what upkeep it needs
A well-cared-for grillz lasts years, whatever the metal. Silver can tarnish slightly over time from saliva and food contact, but it comes back to shine with a soft cloth or an occasional professional polish. Gold holds its colour more consistently and barely needs upkeep beyond regular cleaning.
Iced pieces need a little more attention: avoid abrasive cleaners near the stones and store the piece in its case when not in use, so the setting does not take a knock. For the full day-to-day routine, see how to clean and care for your grillz.
